Your kids will get a kick out of eating mud... chocolate mud, that is! Our adorable no-bake Chocolate Mud Monsters are super easy to make and ready in under 30 minutes.

16 - 24 mud monsters


  • 1 bag (12 oz) dark chocolate chips
  • 1 bag (12 oz) milk chocolate chips
  • 4 cups Fiber One® cereal
  • 32 - 48 candy eyeballs
  • Basic Butter Cream Frosting


  1. Line a baking sheet with wax paper and set aside.
  2. In a medium saucepan, slowly melt chocolate chips over low heat until smooth. Stir constantly to prevent burning.
  3. Add cereal and mix until well coated.
  4. Drop 1/4 cupfulls onto wax paper.
  5. Using buttercream icing as "glue", attach two candy eyes to each mud monster.
  6. Store covered in refrigerator.


Mud Monster Variations:

  1. For a salty/sweet treat, substitute small pretzel sticks for Fiber One® cereal.
  2.  Use small jelly beans as eyes.
  3. Substitute 1 cup butterscotch chips for dark chocolate chips.
  4. Use a black jelly bean for a nose.
