INGREDIENTS

  • 1/2 onion, minced
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 tablespoon salt
  • 2 cups ketchup
  • 1/4 cup tomato paste
  • 1/3 cup cider vinegar
  • 1/4 cup worcestershire sauce
  • 1/4 cup orange juice
  • 1/4 cup Imperial Sugar Light Brown Sugar
  • 1/2 cup Steviacane
  • 1/3 teaspoon hot sauce or to taste

DIRECTIONS

  1. In a medium sauce pan combine onion, garlic and orange juice.
  2. Simmer for 10 minutes or until onion is translucent.
  3. Mix in black pepper, salt, ketchup, tomato paste, vinegar, worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, Steviacane and hot sauce.
  4. Bring to a boil.
  5. Reduce heat to medium low and simmer for 20 minutes.
  6. Strain if you prefer a smooth sauce.
